Merry Christmas

I'm back this week with another Christmas card using "Craft and You" papers again.  This particular piece is "Silent Night - 02".  When I first got the sheets and flipped through them I knew I had to use this gorgeous image as a focal piece.  Well that and Joy's new "Merry Christmas Border". I tried to keep it a bit more simple so those two items came through on the card and weren't hidden with all my embellishments.  NOT EASY!!  LOL!!

This is a new Joy "Winter Wishes Lantern" die.  I added some yellow cardstock into the lamps so they look like they're on.  So cute!  Oh and that little sliver charm reindeer is just the cutest too wouldn't you agree?  😀

These poinsettia's are also by Joy Crafts Crafty Cocktail "Poinsettia Stamp and Die".  I topped all of them off with a rustic bell and some Prima Wax cord.  Oh and I also added a vintage metal snowflake behind them.

I hope you've enjoyed, what I consider a CAS card from me this week.

Winter Cottages

This week I've used some pretty papers from Craft and You called "Silent Night".  I've done something a little different for me and colored a winter scene using my distress inks.

I've used an image from the most amazing set of stamps from Wild Rose Studio  called "Winter Cottages".  There are a number of good sized images as well as some great sentiment stamps and these cute little tags.  I also added some Snow-Tex to the roof and trees and a bit of glitter to the ground.

I made these flowers using white Foamiran and Whimsy's Lily/Poinsettia die.  I added some foliage using Rosy Owl's "Elegant Leaves", Fantasy's "Big Branches" die as well as Fantasy's "Small Branches" die.  These are both perfect dies to have in your stash by the way.  😀  I also added a Prima wax cord bow and some pine cones.

I am luvin' the latest Joy "Happy Holidays Pine Tree" and "Happy Holidays Elk" dies too.  So cute and easy additions to any winter card or even masculine card.

Here's one of the tags I mentioned above:

Foamiran Explosion Box

Last year Pion Design came out with a very interesting collection called "The Witching Hour".  Of course I LOVED it but I know some of you don't celebrate Halloween so I wanted to share how you could use some of these most amazing papers for an everyday project.  I think that the black accents in this collection are also perfect for masculine cards so I love having them in my personal store.  😁😁

I decided to create an explosion box to get a chance to feature the papers and some handmade flowers.  This is a picture heavy post so I hope you enjoy!

I've used apple white Foamiran and inked them with a TH ink cube and some daubers.   OH MY is this ever messy when you twist them but sooooo worth it!  I made the bigger flowers using Whimsy's peony die and die cut the leaves from the leaf die that comes with that set.

I've added a bow using some wax cord from Prima, which is available in the store in a great selection of various colors.  There are some black and cream colored stamens  in the centers but the bigger black ones are ball and rose shaped bases (see product list below) which aren't in stock right now but are coming.  In order to make them black, I actually dipped them right into a bottle of black distress ink and then let them dry.

Here is a flower I made using Whimsy's lily die, which also has some pieces in it for making a poinsettia.  What a great set to have in your stash!  I added some vintage cream stamens and covered the ends with gold Stickles.

BAM!!!  And here's the center of the box!!!  Ooooooooo so much to look at!

I used a couple of chipboard pieces from Wycinanka and a bronze butterfly and owl.  I even took a die cut from Joy's Circle Floral Hexagon die and cut it in 4 to fit over some of the corners.

I distressed the edges of a Scrapiniec butterfly, cut out a Pion butterfly and added a nib to the top as part of the main feature.

Here are more Foamiran flowers but this time I used Rosy Owl "Flower Dies 1" and again added a mixture of stamens.  Under the flowers I added some metal leaves for a bit more gold.

Ok so my latest that took me HOURS to finish!  LOL!!

Penguin Pumpkin Patch

I CAN'T HELP MYSELF!  I'm addicted to Pion's "Summer Falls into Autumn" papers!!  I think this is the most amount of fall cards I have ever made.  4!  😀  I wish I could say it was more as I love the fall colors and time of year but it goes by so stinkin' fast!

On Pion's "tags" sheet there are 4 patterned circles so I used each one for this card.  I also added a butterfly from the borders sheet and some Scrapiniec's "Grapevine - Set of Grapes" between layers.

I've used some flowers from my stash because some of these colors aren't in the store however, I have used many flowers that are available such as the chrysanthemum, magnolia, carnation and cherry blossom.  I die cut a bunch of leaves from Joy's "Autumn Leaves" die, WHICH IS ON SALE, and put them everywhere!  I even used Fantasy's "Small Branches" die and I can see using that one many more times to come.  It's not very visible but I used some "Lace Henrietta" at the bottom but tea dyed it as I didn't want it to be stark white.  I think I'll do that to a few more pieces of lace.  It works very well!

This stamp from Whimsy called "Penguin Pumpkin Patch" is sooooooo stinkin' cute OH MY! 😮  I colored them using my Copics and listed the combo's below.  I see this specific one is out of stock but there are many others and if you're looking for this one still just ask Tracy as she will try her best to get it in for you.

Tiddly Inks

I made a wedding card for a friend but used things that I've just had in my stash for awhile.  The paper and heart die tags are from Magnolia, the heart border die cut is from Joy! and the laces are from Noor! Design UK.

Isn't this little book cute?!  I had some mini ones in my stash so thought adding "I Do" would be perfect!!  The flowers are mostly from Wild Orchid Crafts and also from my stash.

Another piece from my stash - hey you know what?  This feels really good to say "from my stash"!  LOL!!!  The wedding cake is a resin piece from Prima.

Well, that's about it for this one.  OMG THE IMAGE!!  ha ha ha!  I'm sure most of you would recognize it but it is a Tiddly Inks image called "Garden Wedding".  Love Kristy's images but I don't get enough time to color everything!  Maybe when I'm retired.  LOL!!

I'm also going to enter my card into a challenge that is going on at Tiddly Inks right now and the category is "Anything Goes" and maybe "Floral" for her bouquet but I might be reaching there.  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great short week!

Veritas

I have something fun to share at the end of the post so please read it all. 😀

Well here I am again playing with the latest collection from Pion "Summer Falls into Winter".  I love the colors they've used as it's made me get out of my comfort zone and play with something different.  This sweet image is called "Veritas" from Whimsy Stamps and I've colored her with  my copics.

I'ved used some apple colored Foamiran as well as the burgundy to create these pretty flowers with Whimsy's peony die.  I also die cut some flowers from Rosy Owl's Classic leaf die.  In this case, I also used my iron to shape them a bit.

Here is a dragonfly from Wycinanka's Steampunk collection.  I cut one of the butterflies from Pion's SFIA border sheet, added a nib and Fantasy's Pearl Thread and Stamen die.

More flowers I've made and also some leaves that I've imprinted using one of the moulds found in the store.  I also used some vintage heart stamens (white) and then colored the tips using a green copic.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
